SELF-DIAGNOSTIC
Diagnostic Test Indicators
When an error occurs, the POWER LED will flash a set number of times to indicate the possible cause of the problem. If there is more than one error, the LED will identify the first of the problem areas. If the errors occur simultaneously, the one that corresponds to the fewest fl ashes is identified first. Results for all of the following diagnostic items are displayed on screen. No error has occurred if the screen displays a “0”.
1. TV must be in standby mode. (Power off).
2. Press the following buttons on the Remote Commander within a second of each other:
DISPLAY  > Channel 5 > Volume - > TV POWER .

ACCESSING SERVICE ADJUSTMENTS
To adjust various set features, use the Remote Commander to put the set into service mode to display the service menus.
1. TV must be in standby mode. (Power off).
2. Press the following buttons on the Remote Commander within a second of each other:
DISPLAY > Channel 5 > Volume + > TV POWER .
The first service menu (TV) displays.
3. To display the service menu that contains the category you want to adjust, press JUMP on the Remote Commander.
The screen displays the first category in the selected service menu.
4. To change the category, press 2 or 5 on the Remote Commander.
Note: Pressing 2 or 5 only changes the categories within the service menu displayed. To change a category on one of the other service menus, press the JUMP button until the correct service menu is displayed.
5. To change the adjustment item, press 1 or 4 on the Remote Commander.
6. To change the data value, press 3 or 6 on the Remote Commander.
Note: To go back to the last saved data value, press 0 then ENT on the Remote Commander to read the memory.
7. To write into memory, press MUTING then ENT on the Remote Commander.
8. To exit service mode, turn the power off.
WHITE BALANCE ADJUSTMENT
Adjust the White Balance using the User Menu and the Service Menu
when you replace boards or the LCD Panel.
USER MENU ADJUSTMENTS
Use the following procedure to adjust the items from the User Menu
before adjusting items in the Service Menu.
Press the 
LEFT/RIGHT /UP /DOWN to move the on-screen cursor. Press ENTER to select /confirming item
1. Display the User Menu by pressing MENU on the Remote
Commander.
2. Select the Settings option.
3. Change the Picture Mode to Custom.
4. Select the Backlight option.
a. Set the Backlight option to MAX
5. Select the Advanced Settings option.
NOTE: The Advanced Settings option is only available after you
select Custom from the Picture Mode.
a. Set following registers to Off:
Black Corrector
Advanced C.E.
Gamma
Clear White
b. Select the White Balance option.
c. Set the R, G, B Gain and R, G, B Bias to 0.
6. Put the TV in standby mode. (Power off).
SERVICE MENU ADJUSTMENTS
Use the following procedure to adjust the Service Menu items for White Balance Adjustments.
NOTE: GAINR, GAING, & GAINB are White Balance Adjustments for Highlight and OFFR, OFFG, & OFFB are White Balance Adjustments for Offset. . 1.Access the Service Menu
2. Press the JUMP button until the DE Micro service menu displays.
3. Press 2 until the 6 MAIN_WB category displays.
4. Press 1 until the 4 GAINR item displays.
5. Press 3 to increase or 6 to decrease the data value.
(Do not increase the GAINR data value higher than 520.)
6. Repeat steps 4 & 5 for each of the following items:
a. 5 GAING (data value is fixed at 512)
b. 6 GAINB - Do not increase the higher than 540
c. 8 OFFR
d. 9 OFFG (data value is fixed at 512)
e. 10 OFFB
7. To write into memory, press MUTING then ENT on the Remote Commander.
Text color changes to red when saving.
8. To exit service mode, turn the power off.
